“I mutter this to all who come here,” she says. “I urge you to reconsider the journey you embark upon. Once you step forth, all else will dwindle in importance. You are on the verge of staring into the sun, and will never be satisfied by the meagre flickers and sparks of your present. Once you take this first step, the second is all but assured, and the infestation becomes more severe from there.”

She casts cold eyes across the horizon and stares out beyond all that can be seen.

“There are a myriad of travellers who have come before you, and an infinity who will come after. This may not even be your first time here. Time and space wax and wane here, but so too does identity. You are already not the entity you were when you came here. When something is seen in absolute detail, even the slimmest fraction of change creates a change so obvious that what once was, barely resembles that which it now is.”
